David is a registered Professional Geoscientist with a B.Sc. from the University of Waterloo and over 35 years of experience in consulting in Western Canada. His expertise includes project management, physical hydrogeology, contaminated site assessment and remediation, cost-benefit analyses, and senior technical oversight and review.
David provides expert advice and environmental reviews for numerous clients, and was the senior technical advisor for one of the largest remediation projects in B.C.: The Rock Bay Remediation Project in Victoria.
For more than three decades, David has provided consulting services to clients including Law Firms, First Nations, Federal and Provincial Governments, Municipalities, Consulting Engineers, Mining and Forestry Industries, Gravel Pit Operators, Property Managers, BC Hydro, and Independent Power Producers.
In his free time David enjoys playing golf, keeping fit through boot camp, riding and caring for his horses, and working on his family cabin. David has been a Principal with Active Earth since our incorporation in 2007.
