Steve holds a degree in Environment and Development from the McGill University School of Environment, where he graduated with Great Distinction. He is also a LEED Green Associate.

Steve has nearly 10 years of experience developing and directing environmental assessment and remediation projects throughout BC, including urban and remote locations. He also develops and implements Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP) for complex and multidisciplinary projects. Steve’s clients include developers, municipal governments, excavation and construction contractors, and independent property owners. His clients benefit from his strong organizational and communication skills.

Steve specializes in designing and completing soil assessment programs for developers and excavation contractors. He facilitates cost-effective and responsible soil disposal planning including disposal under Contaminated Soil Relocation Agreements, disposal to permitted landfills, Disposal at Sea, and disposal to clean fill receivers.

In his free time Steve can be found enjoying the outdoors with his family or working on carpentry projects. He is the father of a toddler-age daughter and loves to travel, hike, canoe, camp, and capture photos. Steve has been an Associate with Active Earth since 2010.
