
David Mitchell
P.Eng., CSAP
Principal, Senior Engineer
David is a registered Professional Engineer and graduate of the University of British Columbia, with a degree in Geological Engineering. David also holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. He has held positions as project engineer, project manager, and team leader with other well-regarded B.C.-based consulting firms.
David has nearly 20 years of experience in environmental assessment and multidisciplinary remediation projects, including the remediation of the Oakridge Transit Centre in Vancouver: a large-scale, logistically challenging excavation. David also successfully mediated a remediation agreement for a former dry cleaner near the Arbutus Corridor, which had impacted a number of surrounding residential properties.
As a Contaminated Sites Approved Professional, David is able to facilitate obtaining Ministry of Environment legal instruments. David’s clients have included Developers, Private Investors, Financial Institutions, Federal and Provincial Governments, and First Nations.
In his free time David enjoys boxing and Ironman triathlons. He has been a Principal with Active Earth since 2009.
