Scott is a senior risk assessor and the Risk Assessment Team Lead. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Toxicology, and is a Registered Professional Biologist in BC. He has been working in the contaminated sites industry for more than 25 years specializing in the risk-based cleanup of contaminated sites in Western Canada including BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Yukon and the Northwest Territories. Scott’s risk assessment work has supported closure for a variety of property types including upstream oil and gas sites, abandoned mine sites, industrial works yards, light stations, small-craft harbours, former commercial/industrial facilities, rail yards, transportation corridors, telecommunication facilities, airports, First Nations lands and port facilities. Much of his risk assessment work has been conducted to support property redevelopment.
Scott is also an Approved Professional (Risk) with the Society of Contaminated Sites Approved Professionals of BC. To date he has recommended and obtained approximately 250 regulatory instruments supporting remediation, risk-based closure and the redevelopment of dozens of sites throughout BC.
Scott is the father of three kids (2 boys and a girl) and in his spare time enjoys playing hockey, mountain biking and skiing.
