Ken is a Partner with Active Earth and has over 30 years of broad experience in assessing and managing environmental impacts, resource and land use planning, permits, approvals, public consultation and resolving complicated environmental issues. Specializing in environmental services for urban development for private development and local government clients. After Ken graduated with a Bachelor of Science from University of Manitoba in 1974, he had a 16-year career with the BC Ministry of Environment before becoming an environmental consultant. Most notably, Ken founded Phoenix Environmental Services Ltd., a successful environmental consulting firm based out of Vancouver which operated from 1990-2024, before being acquired by Active Earth. Ken leads the biology and natural environment division at Active Earth.
