Committed to the Net-Zero Challenge

May 6, 2026

Active Earth is proud to be a participant in Environment and Climate Change Canada’s Net Zero Challenge. We are striving to achievea 40 percent reduction in Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) by 2035 and to achieve Net Zero status by 2050. This involves developing a Net Zero Plan with clear GHG emission targets and offsetting strategies as well as completing participation checklists and annual reports.  Last year, our Sustainability Committee completed a Baseline carbon inventory of our Scope 1 ‘direct’, Scope 2 ‘indirect’ and Scope 3 ‘other indirect’ emissions. Preliminary and Detailed Questionnaires have been submitted, and we are actively researching how to reduce our emissions by using cleaner energy sources, investing in clean energy projects, and purchasing carbon offset credits. Collectively, we are part of the movement to create a greener, more prosperous future for all.
